Angelina Sanchez doesn’t remember much about her past before her adoptive father had rescued her from the terrible fate of her family and all the families that had been part of the Baldwin settlement in Texas. He awakes to meet their friend, Angelina Sanchez, although he knows her as Sarah—a girl from the settlement who he thought had died.

The spark between them is ignited but Angelina can not fathom that the man she calls Papa could have anything to do with the fate of her family.  But slowly, painfully, memories start to return under Jeremiah’s influence.  Her struggle to hold on to her version of reality clashes with Jeremiah’s fight for the truth. Despite their attraction to each other, neither is willing to compromise on their beliefs until Angelina finds herself under threat. Then Jeremiah may be the only one who can save her.

Kate Lyon has written an adventure packed story that oozes with sensuality. An independent minded heroine, a determined hero and a strong plotline combine to make this a stellar romance. Her attention to detail and knowledge of the west also make this a first class western.
