This western historical anthology, centered around a rodeo, offers up tough, hard-scrabbled cowboys and women who can handle them. Each of these stories involves characters who dare to dream. These are ordinary folks who are striving for something, be it a new start, conquering fears, learning to love or the search for a better life. They’ve come to the rodeo at  Kasota Springs, Texas with hope in their pocket.

Silent Partner finds ex-con Rowdy Darnell striking a deal with plain Laurel Hayes. If she stakes his entry fees and he wins the all-around, he’ll walk away with enough cattle to start a life away from Kasota Springs and Laurel will have enough money to head to a big city. While each is aware of the risks to their plan, neither has figured on the odds of falling in love.

In Luck of the Draw, Dally Angelo has come to face his demons—actually one demon, the bull Bone Buster. What he doesn’t count on is finding his ex-lover, Augusta Garrison, as a rodeo clown and keeper of the draw. She left him because he wouldn’t give up his quest of riding Bone Buster—will she rig the draw to keep him from riding the bull? And what else has she been keeping from him?

Texas Tempest finds plucky widow Tempest LaDoux setting her cap for husband number six, otherwise known as gunslinger McKenna Smith. Tempest has brought some mighty bad luck to her five former husbands, all now six feet under. Is McKenna facing the end of the trail in more ways than one?

In Roping the Wind both Alaine LeDoux and Morgan Payne aren’t all they appear to be. Alaine plays the tomboy bent on competing in the rodeo, Morgan acts the city slicker looking for a ranch. But when trouble comes calling and the lights go down, will they find more to each other than meets the eye?

All four authors have done a marvelous job of weaving these stories together so that the reader feels they are at the Kasota Springs Rodeo when life happens.  With characters you can cheer for, these four romances will warm your heart and bring a smile to your lips.
