and a home. It will take a lot for them to trust an outsider, even
one as charming and well-intentioned as the man who holds a
seemingly legal claim on their home. Davidson has secrets of his own
that threaten him and anyone connected with him. When their
respective adversaries converge on the ranch at the same time, the
action really heats up, as does the simmering romance.
Pearl is a strong, spirited
woman who, despite the bad hand life has dealt her, never loses
faith in herself. Her strength of character, even more than her
charms, is what Davidson finds so compelling. Davidson is a man of
integrity and innate fairness who seeks the truth, however painful
it may personally be. Not one to shy away from a fight, he stands
beside Pearl even though it is not in his self-interest, showing his
own strength of character. These two indomitable spirits have the
reader rooting for them both from the very first page.
With a romance that boils over
with heat, action that has bullets flying at every turn and
